uca traces its origin back to 1934 in Beirut as an agency for the first Arab Life Insurance Company.
The company was established in its present form in 1974 when it has taken over the old insurance agency.
uca has sister companies in both Saudi Arabia and Great Britain operating in the insurance sector respectively since 1974 and 1988.
In 1998, uca has strengthened its capital and team and put down a plan to expand its business.
In 2000, uca acquired the portfolio of General Fire & Marine, and is still pursuing opportunities for further acquisitions.
uca is a founding member of the Arab War Insurance Syndicate and the Lebanese Credit Insurer Sal. It is also a partner in the Arab Reinsurance Company.
uca written premium for 2003 amount to US$6,8 Millions and is a leader in Property and Marine Underwriting in Lebanon.
